MICHAEL JANNIERE

Michael Janniere is a Senior Advisor with Pivot Health Advisors. In this role, he is responsible for leading strategic client engagements. 

With over 25 years of experience, Michael has helped clients across a broad range of industries unlock profitable growth through human capital strategy, innovation, M&A, analytics, and organizational strategies.

He has advised clients and their boards ranging in size from very large publicly traded companies to emerging growth companies, and across various industries including healthcare, technology, nonprofit, financial services, manufacturing, and energy.
 

Michael has extensive experience advising his clients on all rewards and recognition, executive compensation and employee benefits matters (both in the US and globally), including incentive and compensation plans, qualified and nonqualified retirement plans, a broad range of planning and tax issues related to these plans, as well as fringe benefit and payroll issues. He has had a particular focus throughout his career on advising clients and C-Suite officers on these matters in the context of human capital strategy, labor negotiations, workforce planning, corporate governance, M&A, and restructuring transactions, including due diligence, planning, and integration.

Prior to joining Pivot, Michael was the Director of Benefits at Sharp HealthCare, a large California healthcare system. Previously, Michael was the Senior Vice-President and Chief People Officer of the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (“AAAHC”) leading the people strategy and the strategic direction and business development of both the international healthcare accreditation subsidiary and consulting subsidiary of AAAHC. In addition, he has served in a variety of senior roles at companies across multiple industries.

Michael earned a BBA from Andrews University and a J.D. from DePaul University College of Law. He also received a Master of Laws in Taxation from Washington University In St. Louis School of Law.
