Over the past 25 years Doug McKinley has played an integral role in the development of
hundreds of leaders toward personal and professional effectiveness. Doug has partnered with executives in a wide range of industries in building high performance teams, assessing leadership talent, and provide individual leadership development.v
Currently Doug is a freelance consultant working as a team facilitator, leadership coach and speaker. Previously Doug served as the co-founder and managing partner of Xcellero Leadership, Inc., a Chicago-based consulting firm focusing on helping executives and organizations move toward health and greatness. He is retained by C-Level executives and their organizations to provide one-on-one executive coaching, executive team development and thought leadership.
Doug is recognized as a trusted advisor by his clients. His entrepreneurial bent, psychological insight and interpersonal skills are often the factors that ensure successful leadership impact on individuals, resulting in enhanced productivity for their organizations and satisfaction on the part of senior leaders, board of directors, and shareholders.
Doug's background as a psychologist gives him essential insight and a deeper understanding on what is holding back individuals and teams from reaching their peak performance, allowing him to give clear and compelling methodology that allows for instant application and development.
Doug holds a doctorate degree in clinical psychology from the Adler Professional School of Psychology and a Master's Degree in counseling from Wright State University. He has earned the Master Certified Coach designation from the International Coach Federation and is a practicing member of ICF. Doug is the co-author of Go Positive: Lead to Engage and several training program manuals that focus on leadership development.
